The initial idea came from Aziza Karrara in 1988. Her dream was to offer practical and easy tools of excellent quality to enable everybody to express their creativity and imagination. On this basis she started the company in Torino, Italy.
STAMPERIA started growing rapidly because the demand was high and at the time it was difficult to find materials on the market. The first Collection included stencils, stamps, acrylic paints as well as decoupage papers and rice paper – a sensational novelty at the time as Stamperia was the first company in the world to print on rice paper.
