Those were modern times, when imagination built the magic of cinema in its early days, movie after movie, comedy after comedy. Films and hand-held cameras returned unsharp and sepia-colored images, which however did not stop the audience from crowding the halls regardless of hard wooden chairs, to widen their eyes in front of the magic of silent screen.
